Bio

Matthew Velasquez joined the Bentley University women's lacrosse coaching staff in the spring of 2019.

Velasquez came to Bentley having previously been the Goalie's Coach at two NE10 rivals of Bentley, Southern New Hampshire University and Merrimack College. He was on the Penmen's staff for the 2016-17 season, and on Merrimack's staff for the 2015-16 season. Prior to those stops he was an assistant coach at Emerson College from 2012-15, where he was the Goalie Coach and Offensive Coordinator. Several of his student-athletes earned All-Conference accolades during his tenure at Emerson.

Velasquez is also active with all levels of lacrosse. He is the coach of the New England Twisters Club, and has assisted with the Women's U19 Colombian National Team.
