McCarthy Voted to NE10 Women’s Lacrosse Academic All-Conference Team

Waltham, Mass. – Bentley University rising junior Cara McCarthy (Salem, N.H./Central Catholic) was voted to the NE10 Women's Lacrosse Academic All-Conference team, the conference announced Monday.

McCarthy, who majors in marketing, was one of the standout players for the Falcons this past season. She was named third team All-Conference as a midfielder after she racked up 43 goals to finish second on the team. She also contributed in other facets with 36 draw controls, second most on the team, along with 20 ground balls and 16 caused turnovers.

In the classroom McCarthy had a 3.78 GPA for the 2018-19 year.

She helped the Falcons to an 11-6 overall record, a third place finish in the NE10 standings and a final ranking of 19th in the IWLCA Coaches Poll. She was one of just 12 student-athletes voted to the Academic All-Conference team for women's lacrosse for the year.
