Brelser And Glavin Selected for IWLCA All-Region Honors

Waltham, Mass. – Bentley University goalie Eliza Bresler (Newton, Mass./Newton North) and attacker Julia Glavin (Ipswich, Mass./Ipswich) were named to the All-East Region teams by IWLCA on Thursday.

Bresler was named first team All-East Region and Glavin was named second team All-East Region.

Bresler was previously named the Northeast-10 Goalie of the Year and first team All-Conference after a stellar junior season in the cage. She played every minute and earned 11 wins to help Bentley to a tie for 3rd place in the highly competitive NE10.

Statistically her 217 total saves is tied for the most nationally and her 12.76 saves per game average is tied for the 2nd most nationally. Bresler's save percentage of .529 is the 6th highest mark in the nation.

Bresler was also impressive in picking up ground balls, as her average of 4.00 per game is the 11th most nationally. She also averaged 2.00 caused turnovers per contest, a number also among the national leaders.

Glavin, previously named second team All-NE10, had an explosive sophomore season for the Falcons with 55 goals and 13 assists for 68 points. She ranks 11th in the NE10 goals and 15th in points. Her goals tally is the 2nd most ever by a Bentley player in a single-season and the points total 8th most.

Glavin also dominated in securing draw controls. Her 6.41 per game average is the 20th most nationally, and her total of 109 is the 3rd most in the NE10.

The duo are the 14th and 15th players in the program's history to earn All-Region honors.
