No. 1 Le Moyne Stays Unbeaten with Win over No. 21 Bentley

Waltham, Mass. – No. 1 ranked Le Moyne stayed unbeaten on the season with a 17-2 victory over No. 21 ranked Bentley on Saturday afternoon.

The Dolphins, who have been No. 1 all season, improved to 15-0 overall and 11-0 NE10. The Falcons dropped to 9-5 overall and 7-4 NE10.

Le Moyne senior attacker Bryanna Fazio led the way with four goals and three assists, while Nicole Delany and Erin McMullen each had three goals.

Fazio scored three of her goals in the 1st half to help the visitors lead 12-1 at halftime.

The Bentley goals came from sophomore Julia Glavin (Ipswich, Mass./Ipswich) in the first half, her 46th goal and 58th point of the season. Senior MaryKate Staines (Gaithersburg, Md./Damascus) scored in the 2nd half, her 12th of the year.

Falcons goalie Eliza Bresler (Newton, Mass./Newton North) made 15 saves on the day against one the nation's highest scoring offenses that came into the game averaging better than 17 goals per game.

Bentley will now head into the final week of the regular season with a spot in the NE10 playoffs already clinched, and with the possibility of finishing in the top four with wins in the final two games over New Haven, on Wednesday, and Southern N.H. next Saturday.
