Waltham, Mass. – Sophomore Julia Glavin (Ipswich, Mass./Ipswich) scored  a career-high seven goals to lead 19^th ranked Bentley past Saint Michael's 16-10 on Tuesday.

The Falcons improved to 7-1 overall and 5-1 in the Northeast-10 with the win.

Glavin scored three times in the 1^st half to help Bentley jump out to a 7-1 lead after less than 13 minutes, and a 9-5 lead at halftime. She and Cara McCarthy (Salem, N.H./Central Catholic) scored the first two goals of the game inside of three minutes for an early 2-0 lead.

After Saint Michael's Kaelyn Oliver got the visitors on the board at 25:43, Bentley went on a 4-0 run to go up 7-1 with just over 17:00 left in the half. Glavin, Sandrine Heller (Weggis, Switzerland), MaryKate Staines (Gaithersburg, Md./Damascus) and McCarthy had the goals during the run.

Bentley started the 2^nd half with goals by Glavin and Christine Fish (Slingerlands, N.Y./Guilderland) to take an 11-5 lead with 6:39 gone. Saint Michael's though crept back in with a 3-0 run, which was finished with two straight goals by Kate Martin, to bring them to within 11-8 with 17:18 remaining.

But Bentley did not allow another goal for close to 13 minutes, and went on a 3-0 run of its own to pull away. Glavin had two of the goals, and sophomores Jillian Lynch (Wilton, Conn./Wilton) the other to give Bentley a 14-8 lead with just over six minutes left.

Eliza Bresler (Newton, Mass./Newton North) made 14 saves in the cage and had four ground balls to earn her 7^th win of the season.

The Falcons, who have won three straight, will look to keep their winning streak going on Saturday when they host Southern Connecticut.
