Bentley Ranked No. 23 in IWLCA Preseason Poll
Waltham, Mass. – The Bentley University women's lacrosse team is ranked No. 23 in the IWLCA's Division II Coaches Preseason Poll.
The Falcons were ranked 22nd in the final IWLCA poll of the 2018 season, where they went 9-7 overall and advanced to the NE10 quarterfinals. They defeated four ranked teams in the regular season; Pace, New York Tech, Assumption and Stonehill.
Bentley is one of six NE10 teams ranked in the preseason poll, more than any other conference. The other NE10 teams ranked are Le Moyne (1), Adelphi (2), Pace (14), Merrimack (16) and New Haven (20).
The Falcons return 13 players from last season's team, including three All-Conference selections, and they welcome in eight newcomers.
The 2019 season for Bentley gets underway on Feb. 27 with a NE10 game, on the road against American International. The home opener is on Saturday, March 2 against LIU Post.
