WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University's Julia Glavin (Ipswich, Mass./Ipswich) has been selected as the Northeast-10's Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week after helping the Falcons to wins over New York Tech and AIC last week.

In the two wins, Glavin recorded 10 points on eight goals and two assists. Glavin wasn't just an offensive threat, as she also secured 13 draw controls and five ground balls combined in the two games.

In Bentley's 11-10 overtime win over NYIT on March 15, which was ranked 16th at the time, Glavin netted a hat trick in just her second career game. She also helped Bentley dominate in draw controls to the tune of a 17-6 advantage, with nine of those 17.

Two days later she led all players with five goals in Bentley's 17-12 win over AIC in the team's NE10 opener. She added two assists for a game high seven points, and also contributed four draw controls.

Through four games this season, Glavin leads Bentley in goals (13), points (15), draw controls (22) and is tied for the most caused turnovers (5).

The Falcons have won three straight games after beating No. 25 ranked Assumption yesterday 14-13. They will take a 3-1 record (2-0 NE10) in Saturday's home game against Stonehill.
