Hart, Howard Selected to Northeast-10 All-Academic Team

WALTHAM, Mass. – Former Bentley teammates and recent graduates Meredith Hart (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) and Kelsey Howard (Scarborough, Maine/Scarborough) were voted to the Northeast-10 women's lacrosse All-Academic team, the conference announced.

The pair closed out their Bentley careers in a big way this season, leading the women's lacrosse program to an unprecedented season while excelling in the classroom. The duo helped the Falcons reel off a program record 11 straight wins, advance to the Northeast-10 semifinals and achieve a final ranking of No. 14 in the IWLCA poll.

Howard, who also excelled for the Bentley field hockey team for four seasons and was recently named a nominee for the NCAA Woman of the Year Award, is an All-Academic selection for the 3rd time. She was named to the field hockey All-Academic team for the 2013 and 2015 seasons. The Maine native graduated from Bentley Magna Cum Laude in May with a degree in accountancy.

On the field for the women's lacrosse team, Howard was 2nd on the squad in each of goals (38), assists (17) and points (55). Those numbers earned her spots on the IWLCA All-North Region 3rd team and the Northeast-10 All-Conference 2nd team.

Hart starred as an all-around midfielder for the Falcons. She contributed offensively with 32 goals (4th on team), while also ranking 1st in both ground balls (46) and caused turnovers (18) and 2nd in draw controls (49). Her play earned her both IWLCA All-North Region 2nd team and Northeast-10 All-Conference 2nd team honors.

Hart graduated from Bentley in May with a degree in economics while minoring in global studies.
