Ochs Named IWLCA Third Team All-American

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University's Lauren Ochs (Rochester, N.Y./Irondequoit) has been named a third team All-American by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association. Ochs was one of just four goalies in Division II to earn All-America honors.

Ochs' standout play in the cage helped Bentley to a breakthrough season which saw the team run off an 11-game winning streak, advance to the semifinals of the Northeast-10 tournament and finish its season ranked No. 14 by the IWLCA.

It's the fourth major recognition of the postseason for the junior from upstate New York. She was previously named the Northeast-10 Goalie of the Year, first team All-Northeast-10 and IWLCA first team All-North Region.

Statically this season she posted a .477 save percentage and a stingy 9.42 goals against average. She made 163 total saves and played every minute in goal for the Falcons.

Ochs becomes Bentley's third ever player to be named an All-American. She joins attacker Alyssa Ritchie (2007) and goalie Ally Dorman (2013).
