Brown, Lindgren Each Score Four as Bentley Downs Pace 11-7

GARDEN CITY, N.Y. – Senior Jackie Brown (Brookfield, Conn./Brookfield) and sophomore Hannah Lindgren (Southborough, Mass./Algonquin) each scored four goals to lead Bentley University to an 11-7 road victory over Pace on Saturday in Northeast-10 women's lacrosse action.

Brown had a hat trick at half time to help stake the Falcons to a 5-2 lead after 30 minutes. Lindgren scored three times in the second half, including two in the final 5:39, to help Bentley pull away.

Brown had three of Bentley's first four goals, giving them a 4-1 lead after 17 minutes of the first half. Sophomore Taylor Lunden (Agawam, Mass./Agawam) assisted on all three of Brown's goals, and scored herself in the first half.

Lindgren opened the second half scoring to give Bentley a 6-2 lead. Pace then netted the next two goals to close to within 6-4 after the first five minutes of the second half. But that is as close as they would get the rest of the way.

Bentley scored the next three goals to open up a 9-4 lead. Goals by juniors Kelsey Howard (Scarborough, Maine/Scarborough) and Meredith Hart (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) came in between Brown's fourth goal of the afternoon.

Pace would score three more times over the final 10:38, but the two goals by Lindgren helped Bentley maintain its comfortable lead.

Bentley improves to 4-2 overall and 3-1 in the NE-10 with the win. Pace drops to records of 3-1 and 1-1. Bentley's next game is Wednesday afternoon at Adelphi.
