Women's Lacrosse Wins Fourth Straight over Merrimack

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – Senior Carolyn Kynoch (Ashland, Mass./Ashland) scored three goals to lead the Bentley offense in an 11-6 victory over Northeast-10 foe Merrimack, the team's fifth straight. Classmate Jackie Brown (Brookfield, Conn./Brookfield) added two goals.

The Falcons led 7-2 at halftime on the strength of a 6-0 run that took up almost 15 minutes and was bookended by goals from Kynoch and sophomore Meredith Hart (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport). The run also featured goals by Ellie Shuman (Nashua, N.H./Nashua North), Taylor Bastien (North Kingstown, R.I./North Kingstown) and Brown.

Merrimack got back in the game by scoring three of the first four goals of the second half. The second of two straight goals by attacker Aubrie Stouffer cut Bentley's lead to 8-5 with 16:48 to play.

Brown scored the next goal for Bentley at the 15:17 mark, and the Falcons defense limited Merrimack to just one goal the rest of the way. Freshman Ciara Morley (Irvington, N.Y./Irvington) and Kynoch added goals in the final minutes to lock up the victory.

The win improves Bentley's Northeast-10 record to 7-4. They'll look for their fifth straight win when they host Adelphi on Saturday in the final game of the regular season. Game time is set for 4:30.
