No. 1 LIU Post Defeats Bentley 17-2 in Florida

ORLANDO, Fla.- LIU Post, ranked No. 1 in Division II, improved to 4-0 with a 17-2 victory over the Bentley women's lacrosse team Wednesday night at the Wide World of Sports Complex in Florida. Senior Samantha Losco led the Pioneers attack with four goals.

Bentley scored two of the game's first five goals inside of nine minutes and only trailed 3-2. Senior Carolyn Kynoch (Ashland, Mass./Ashland) tied the game at one after Losco opened the scoring for LIU. After two straight goals by the Pioneers, senior Jackie Brown (Brookfield, Conn./Brookfield) scored for Bentley at the 22:47 mark. Senior Taylor Bastien (North Kingstown, R.I./North Kingstown) had the assist on both goals.

But from that point LIU ran off seven straight goals to close out the half on its way to a big lead at halftime.

The Falcons will look to get back on track Friday when the visit No. 10 Rollins to close out their spring break trip. Game time is 4:00 pm.
