Wiggins & Brown Each Score Four as No. 12 Bentley Downs So. New Hampshire 22-13

MANCHESTER, N.H. – Four goals each from grad student Megan Wiggins (Acton, Mass./Acton-Boxborough) and junior Jackie Brown (Brookfield, Conn./Brookfield) helped the Bentley women's lacrosse team to a 22-13 victory over Northeast-10 rival Southern New Hampshire Wednesday night.

Wiggins moved up into a tie for fourth for the most career goals in program history (137) on a night the 12th-ranked Falcons produced their biggest offensive output of the season. They've now won three straight and have scored at least 16 goals in each of the wins.

Bentley never trailed after Brown opened the scoring 2:13 into the contest. Their biggest lead of the half was 12-7 after Wiggins found the back of the net with 4:34 left.

The Falcons scored the first five goals of the second half to lead 17-8 at the 24:17 mark, and eight of the first nine to take a 20-9 lead with 12:17 left.

Wiggins also notched three assists on the night for a game high seven points, but she was trumped in the assists department by senior Taylor Bastien's (North Kingstown, R.I./North Kingstown) four.

Bentley ups its record to 9-4 on the year and 7-2 in the NE-10, while the Penmen drop to 5-9 overall and 6-3 in the NE-10.

The Falcons are back in action Saturday when they visit Franklin Pierce.
