Bentley Cruises Past Shepherd 17-4
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Sophomores Dovlyn Curtis (Mendham, N.J./West Morris Mendham) and Alex Carney (Providence, R.I./The Wheeler School) each had hat tricks as the Bentley University women's lacrosse team defeated Shepherd 17-4 Monday afternoon for its first victory of the season.
Curtis and fellow sophomore Cori Geiger (Agawam, Mass./Agawam) each had a team-high four points, with Geiger's coming on a goal and three assists.
Juniors Lauren Canepa (Hingham, Mass./Hingham) and Megan Wiggins (Acton, Mass./Acton-Boxborough) had two goals, as did sophomore Margeaux Guercia (Boxford, Mass./Masconomet).
The Falcons were up big at the half, 12-1, after scoring nine unanswered goals to close out the half.
Bentley will return to action on Sunday when they host Dowling at 12:00 p.m.
