WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University head coach Barbara Stevens and four of her players were recognized Monday when the Northeast-10 Conference announced its 2018-19 All-Conference women's basketball team.

Stevens was voted as the Northeast-10 co-Coach of the Year, an award she shared with Le Moyne College's Gina Castelli. Amazingly, it's the 16th time the conference has recognized the 1,000-game winner as it's top coach.

Senior guard Amy McConnell (South Windsor, Conn./South Windsor HS) was selected second-team All-Conference and senior center Victoria Lux (Arundel, Maine/Thornton Academy) was voted to the All-NE10 third team. Senior guard Megan Lewis (Sevenoaks, England) and sophomore guard Katie Meriggioli (Waunakee, Wis./Edgewood HS) both received honorable mention recognition.

Stevens, one of 13 finalists for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and the fourth winningest coach in NCAA women's basketball history, has led the Falcons to a 27-2 record and a number 13 ranking in the latest WBCA Division II coaches' poll. Her team captured the NE10 Northeast Division title and will host Saint Anselm College in the NE10 semifinals Thursday evening.

McConnell leads Bentley in minutes (33.8) and assists (135) in her first season as a starter while averaging 10.4 points per game. Her three-point accuracy (.411) ranks third in the conference and her assist-turnover ratio of 2.0 is fourth best among NE10 players with at least 100 assists. McConnell, who has three 20-point games, has delivered at least six assists in nine of 12 games from mid-January.

Lux, the number five rebounder in Bentley history, leads the Falcons in that category (7.2) and is second in scoring at 11.8. Overall the last eight games, she's averaged 13.9 points and 8.3 rebounds. Lux, tied for eighth in career games started (115), has 1,209 career points and was a first-team All-Conference honoree last season.

Meriggioli, a first-year starter, leads Bentley in scoring (11.9), defensive rebounds (152) and three-pointers (45) while also averaging 7.1 rebounds and 1.3 steals. She has four double-doubles, including three in the last four games, a stretch in which she's averaged 16 points and 13 rebounds, an amazing number for a guard.

Lewis earned honorable mention honors despite missing ten games due to injury. The Most Outstanding Player of last season's NE10 Championships, the six-footer provides 10.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals a game, and has shot .508 from the floor. Lewis, who has another year of eligibility remaining, has played in 14 career postseason games and has helped Bentley win 12 of those.
