WALTHAM, Mass. – The 11-1 Bentley University women's basketball team will resume a stretch of four straight road games on Saturday afternoon when the Falcons are in Rockville Centre, N.Y. to take on Molloy College. Tip-off is scheduled for noon with a link to the webcast available on www.bentleyfalcons.com.

Bentley, ranked seventh in the most recent WBCA Division II national coaches poll and undefeated away from Waltham (6-0), will be looking to complete the non-conference portion of its schedule a perfect 6-0. Meanwhile, Molloy will be seeking its sixth straight win over a Northeast-10 opponent, a streak that includes a one-point victory at Bentley on New Year's Eve day last year.

               It will be the second straight game on Long Island for coach Barbara Stevens' squad, which disposed of LIU Post 77-51 Dec. 17 before embarking on a holiday break of nearly two weeks. That was the Falcons' seventh game of the season decided by at least 20 points, including the third straight since the only blemish, a 73-68 loss to Southern New Hampshire in early December.

Stevens, six wins away from becoming only the fifth NCAA women's basketball coach to amass 1,000 career victories, received an impressive effort from the only player on her roster from Long Island, graduate guard and Brown University transfer Becca Musgrove (Plainville, N.Y./St. Anthony's HS), last time out.

Musgrove matched her Bentley career-high with 19 points in a game that saw her knock down three from downtown, claim four rebounds, dish two assists, come up with two steals and block a shot. For the season, she's averaging 12.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.1 steals.

The only Falcon with a higher scoring average is junior center Victoria Lux (Arundel, Maine/ Thornton Academy), one of four Northeast-10 players averaging a double-double. Her scoring norm of 14.5 is up eight points a game over last season and her rebound average of 10.0 is an increase of 3.1 a game.

Senior guard Lauren Green (Damascus, Md./Damascus HS), third in program history in career three-pointers (207), is scoring in double figures for the third time in her four seasons, giving the Falcons 10.7 a game. She's 51 points away from 1,200 for her career.

Depth is a strength of this year's Bentley team with 11 members of the squad playing at least 13 minutes a game.  

Bentley has outscored its opponents by 24.6 points a game, has a +11.2 rebound margin and forces nearly 19 turnovers a game. The Falcons rank in the top ten of Division II statistically in numerous categories, including scoring margin, rebound margin, three-pointers, assists and field goal percentage defense.

Molloy, coming off a 58-47 loss to another once-beaten team (Saint Thomas Aquinas), has struggled offensively this season. The Lions have been held under 50 in six of their 11 games, but have been solid defensively, limiting opponents to a .334 field goal percentage.

The Molloy offense focuses around five-foot-two junior guard Ihnacinse Grady, the only player on the team scoring in doubles. She average 11.1 points while also contributing 4.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 3.2 steals a game.

Sophomore guard Kathryn Gibson comes off the bench to lead the team in three-pointers (20) and her 8.8 scoring average is second on the club.

Bentley will play a third straight game in the Empire State on Wednesday when it resumes its Northeast-10 schedule at Le Moyne College.
