WALTHAM, Mass. – Following a pair of non-conference wins over the weekend, the undefeated Bentley University women's basketball team will begin a stretch of five straight games against Northeast-10 Conference divisional opponents Wednesday night when the Falcons host Franklin Pierce University at 5:30 pm.

Coach Barbara Stevens' team, which maintained its number three ranking in this week's WBCA Division II national coaches poll, routed the University of Bridgeport, 84-44, on Sunday after posting a 90-79 victory over NYIT a day earlier.

Everyone who was dressed played and scored against the Purple Knights with freshman guard Katie Meriggioli (Waunakee, Wisc./Edgewood HS) Bentley's top scorer. She finished with a career-best 12 points in the same number of minutes and also had seven rebounds, three assists and three steals.

Meriggioli became the fifth different player to lead the Falcons in scoring this season with senior center Victoria Lux (Arundel, Maine/Thornton Academy) the only Bentley player to top the scoring list in two games so far.

Bentley will enter this week's action with four players scoring at least ten points a game, a list headed by Lux at 13.3. The former NE10 Player of the Week is second in the conference in rebounding (10.8), including an NE10-best 24 offensive rebounds, and is also fifth in field goal percentage (.530).

Bentley's other double-figure scorers are grad student Becca Musgrove (Plainview, N.Y./St. Anthony's HS) senior guard Lauren Green (Damascus, Md./Damascus HS) and freshman forward Marissa Fontaine (Franklin/Bishop Feehan HS). Musgrove averages 12 points, Green is right behind her at 11.8 and Fontaine has provided 10.7 a game off the bench.

As a team, Bentley is leading the Northeast-10 in scoring (79.3), scoring margin (21.7), three-pointers (9.2), rebounds (46.2) and turnover margin (+6.2).

Franklin Pierce, after a 1-3 start, has won its last three, including a 70-44 decision over Post on Monday night. Second-year head coach Jennifer Wedo's team has limited their opponents to shooting percentages of .348 overall and .252 from three-point land.

Senior guard Jemma Thacker is off to a strong start this season with her 17.3 scoring average nearly double her 9.0 output of a year ago. She has scored at least 20 in three of the Ravens' four wins, including 26 against Holy Family.

Next on the scoring list for the Ravens is sophomore guard Mya Mosley at 9.6 points per game.

This week's schedule for the Falcons also includes a Saturday matinee up in Vermont against St. Michael's.
