WALTHAM, Mass. – Two former Bentley University All-Americans, women's basketball standout Danielle Chaisson (Norwood) and field hockey's Mary Rogers (Watertown), have been inducted into the Northeast-10 Conference Hall of Fame. They both will be honored during on-campus ceremonies during the 2017-18 academic year.

Chaisson, who led Bentley to a 107-20 record and three NCAA Division II Elite Eight tournaments from 1994-98, finished her career with 1,728 points. That total ranked second in program history at the time and is currently fifth most. The six-footer is also the only player in Bentley's storied history with over 200 blocks and 200 steals.

As a senior, Chaisson was the MVP, tri-captain and leading scorer for a Bentley team that finished 30-2, captured the Northeast-10 regular season and tournament championships, repeated as NCAA Northeast Region champions, made a third straight appearance in the Elite Eight and was honored as the ECAC Division II Team of the Year.

Chaisson collected a host of honors during her four years in a Falcon uniform, including Kodak/Women's Basketball Coaches Association first-team All-America, Bentley's Outstanding Female Senior Athlete, Women's Division II Bulletin second-team All-America, Daktronics/CoSIDA Division II third-team All-America and Northeast-10 Player of the Year following her senior season.

The four-year starter was also a three-time All-Northeast-10 honoree, including first team in 1996 and 1998. Her highest scoring year came as a sophomore when she averaged 17.2 points and led the conference in both field goal percentage (.556) and blocks (2.6).

Rogers, who received Division II All-America honors from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association annually from 2003-06, finished her career with 205 points, a Northeast-10 record and believed to be the most in Division II history at the time. A player from Lock Haven from the '90s later surfaced with 206. She currently ranks fifth in Division II history and third in NE10 annals. Her 85 career goals also ranks fifth most in DII history and second most by an NE10 player.

During her four years, Rogers helped Bentley to a 71-21 overall record, three NCAA Division II tournaments and the 2004 NE10 regular season title. In both 2004 and 2006, the Watertown High product played in the NCAA national championship game.

Like Chaisson, Rogers had her top statistical season as a sophomore. That year, she accumulated 26 goals and 16 assists for 68 points, a total matched the Bentley single season record and currently is tied for sixth most in conference history. She owns four of the 12 highest scoring seasons in program history.

Rogers gained first-team All-America honors each of her last three seasons after earning second team recognition as a freshman. She was the ECAC Division II Player of the Year as a senior, the NE10 Player of the Year twice and a four-time first-team All-Conference honoree.

The addition of Chaisson and Rogers to the NE10 Hall of Fame boosts the number of people with Bentley ties that have been honored to 23, by far the most in conference history. Chaisson is the sixth former Falcon women's basketball player, joining Alison (Fay) Casey '84, Kim (Penwell) Seymour '93, Kim (Cummings) Singh '96, Tracie (Seymour) Robidoux '92 and Kelly Barker '01. Rogers is the second former Bentley field hockey player in the Hall, Jennifer (Bunce) Hogencamp '00 having been the first.
