National Television for Bentley Women’s Basketball

WALTHAM, Mass. – When the defending NCAA Division II national champion Bentley University Falcons host St. Michael's College in Northeast-10 Conference women's basketball on February 14, the game will be televised nationally by CBS Sports Network as part of the NCAA Division II Game of the Week series. Tip-off at the Dana Center is set for 12 noon.

The Bentley-St. Michael's game is one of eight regular season contests that will be part of the Division II Game of the Week series.  In addition to being televised nationally by CBS Sports Network, it will be streamed live on NCAA.com and the NCAA Sports mobile app.

"We're very excited to be a part of the CBS Sports Game of the Week broadcasts," said Bentley Hall of Fame coach Barbara Stevens. "It will provide a great opportunity for our young team to play on national TV against a tough Northeast-10 Conference opponent, St. Michael's College.  We're looking forward to it!"

Last March, Bentley completed a perfect 35-0 season, becoming only the second undefeated national champion in Division II history. Seven players, including all five starters, have since graduated, taking with them 788 games of experience, 6,838 points and 3,519 rebounds.

This will be the third time that Bentley's Dana Center will be the site of a Division II Game of the Week. The Bentley men hosted Stonehill College in February 2007 and the Falcon women took on Franklin Pierce in February 2010.

Last March, Bentley played on CBS Sports Network twice, posting wins over Cal Poly Pomona in the national semifinals and West Texas A&M in the national championship game.
