Ondr Leads Bentley Men’s Cross Country in California

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Freshman Nick Ondr (Ozark, Mo./Glendale HS) was the top finisher for the Bentley University men's cross country team during the Men's Open race of the Capital Cross Challenge at the Haggins Oak Country Club.

Ondr, in his second collegiate race, covered the 8,000-meter course in 25.52.2. He was 39th overall and 20th among collegiate runners.

Bentley's next two finishers in the 237-man race were senior Ben Edwards (Morristown, N.J./Morristown HS) and freshman Aidan Cremins (Katy, Texas/Obra D. Tompkins HS). Morris, with a time of 26:52.6, was 116th overall and 75th among collegians, and Cremins crossed the line in 27:14.8, good for 147th overall and 97th among collegians.

In the team standings, Bentley was 13th of 20 with a score of 368. Chico State crushed Pomona-Pitzer, 26-75, to capture first place.

Next on the Bentley schedule is the New England Championships at Franklin Park on Oct. 12.
