Cadorette Shines for Bentley at Minnesota’s Roy Griak Invitational

FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. – Bentley University sophomore Ryan Cadorette (Saco, Maine/ Thornton Academy) turned in an impressive performance while finishing 24th overall in the Maroon Division of the Roy Griak Invitational Saturday at the University of Minnesota's Les Bolstad Golf Course.

Cadorette finished the 8,000-meter course in 27:03, to finish 21st amongst collegians. Over 400 runners participated in the meet that drew teams as widespread as Bentley, Tampa and San Francisco State.

Cadorette's effort helped Bentley finish 15th of 38 in the team standings with 434 points. It was a nail-biter for first place with Black Hills State (93) edging Wisconsin-Parkside (96) and Augustana (S.D.) (98).

Bentley's number two man was junior Erik Alatalo (Wilmington, Mass./Wilmington HS). He finished 73rd with a time of 27.47. Also in the top 120 for the Falcons were senior David Cooper (Woburn, Mass./Woburn HS) and sophomore Graham Chapski (East Greenwich, R.I./East Greenwich HS). Cooper was 117th in 28:25 and Chapski was two places and .03 seconds behind him.

Alec Baldwin of Black Hills State was the individual champion, winning 14 seconds over Manitoba's Abduselam Yussuf.

Bentley will be off until running in the New Englands at Franklin Park on Oct. 10.
