Bolick Posts Highest Finish for Bentley Men at Northeast-10 Championships

BOSTON, Mass. – Senior Tim Bolick (Hopkinton/Hopkinton HS) posted the highest finish for a member of the Bentley University men's track and field team during the 2017 Northeast-10 Conference Championships Saturday night at the Reggie Lewis Center.

Bolick finished third in the 800 meters with his time of 1:55.39 an improvement on his previous personal best by 0.56 seconds. It also elevated Bolick to eighth on Bentley's all-time list in the event. Also in the 800, junior Nick Skarin (Sunapee, N.H./Sunapee HS) took fifth in 1:57.39.

Senior Erik Alatalo (Wilmington/Wilmington HS) was sixth among 19 competitors in the 5,000, finishing in 15:33.08.

Bentley had three runners place in the top nine in the 3,000 with junior Graham Chapski (East Greenwich, R.I./East Greenwich HS) seventh (8:48.62, a PR by 2.58 seconds), classmate Seamus Higgins (Randolph, N.J./Randolph HS) eighth (8:51.41) and sophomore Dan Hergott (Wallingford, Conn./Xavier HS) ninth (8:58.14, a PR by 8.38 seconds). A total of 24 runners competed in the 3,000.

Senior Nik Haas (Ramsey, N.J./Ramsey HS) was seventh of 13 in the mile (4:24.19) and junior David Hernandez (Tokyo, Japan) tied for eighth in the high jump (5'10.5").

Bentley also scored in the 4x800 with Haas, Skarin, Bolick and freshman Ben Edwards (Morristown, N.J./Morristown HS) finishing seventh in 8:09.08.

As a team, Bentley amassed 21.5 points, good for ninth among the 12 participating squads.

Bentley will wrap up the indoor season next weekend with the New England Championships at Reggie Lewis.
