Bolick Continues String of Strong Performances at Dartmouth

HANOVER, N.H. – Bentley University senior Tim Bolick (Hopkinton, Mass./Hopkinton HS) continued to excel for the Falcon men's track and field team during the Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday.

Bolick finished second among 28 runners in the 800 meters with his time of 1:55.95 putting him 0.69 seconds off the winning pace of Dartmouth freshman Michael Thurston. It was a new personal record by 2.26 seconds, the fourth best posted by a Northeast-10 Conference runner this season and good for 11th on Bentley's all-time list. It also qualified him for the New Englands.

Bolick was also part of the Falcons' 4x400 relay which finished seventh of 16 in 3:31.36. Also running that relay were senior David Stoffel (Luxembourg), sophomore Anthony Giesing (Bradford, Vt./ Oxbow HS) and freshman Josh Gettings (Lowell/Lowell HS).

Also in the 800, junior Nick Skarin (Sunapee, N.H./Sunapee HS), in his first race since last February, was ninth in 1:59.65. That put him 15th on the NE10 performance list.

Junior David Hernandez (Toyko, Japan) had a pair of top ten performances as he tied for ninth in 19 in the long jump (20'7.25") and eighth of 16 in the high jump (6'0.25").

Senior Nik Haas (Ramsey, N.J./Ramsey HS) and junior Graham Chapski (East Greenwich, R.I./ East Greenwich HS)excelled in the 3,000 meters for the Falcons. Haas finished in 8:50.95, good for 11th in a 35-player field, and Chapski was 16th in 8:58.14, good for 16th on the NE10 list for the season.

Other notable performances for Bentley were Stoffel finishing 17th of 48 in the 200 (23.59) and sophomore Ryan Kenney (Henrietta, N.Y./Rush-Henrietta Sperry) placing 17th of 41 in the 400 (53.37).

Next Saturday, Bentley will be at Boston University for the David Hemery Valentine's Invitational.
