3 Bentley Track Athletes Earn USTFCCCA All-Region Honors

WALTHAM, Mass. – Three members of the Bentley University men's track and field team, including sophomore Ryan Cadorette (Saco, Maine/Thornton Academy), have been named 2016 Division II All-East Region by the United States Track and Field & Cross Country Coaches Association for their performance this spring.

In addition to Cadorette, Bentley's all-region selections for outdoor track were classmate Holt Sihvonen (Lebanon, Conn./Lyman Memorial HS) and senior Sean Nee (West Yarmouth/Dennis-Yarmouth Reg. HS).

Cadorette, recognized for the 10,000 meters, was a three-season All-Region honoree this year as he was previously honored for both the 3,000 and 5,000 meters indoors and for cross country last fall. His time of 32:12.71 in the 10K, achieved April 2 at Tufts, put him at number five on the region's performance list, as well as 13th in program history.

Holt garnered All-Region honors in the javelin for the second straight year with his school record throw of 200'8", set at Connecticut College last month, third best in the East. Holt, who captured the Northeast-10 championship and finished fifth in the New Englands, missed a trip to the NCAA Division II championships by just 0.3 meters. He was 20th on the entry list and 19 were accepted.

Nee earned his All-Region award in the 800 meters, the same event in which he was cited during the indoor campaign. His time of 1:52.26 at last week's New Englands was third best ever by a Falcon and fifth best in the East this spring.
