Ten Bentley athletes are seeded in the top eight in at least one event, including sophomore Ryan Cadorette (Saco, Maine/Thornton Academy), the top entrant in the 5,000 meters with a time of 14:55.89. On this year's Division II East Region performance list, that ranks third fastest, and it's also sixth best in program history.

The top Falcon seed on the women's side is also in the 5,000 with junior Julia Morena (Boylston/Tahanto Reg. HS) at 18:08.19. That is fifth best in the region this season and also number five in Bentley history.

Seeded third in their respective events are sophomores Nick Skarin (Sunapee, N.H./Sunapee HS) in the 800 meters and Courtney Wilson (Morrisonville, N.Y./Beekmantown Central HS) in the women's long jump. Last year, Skarin was fifth in the 800.

Freshman Stephanie Mattson (Smithfield, R.I./Smithfield HS) is in the top eight in two events. She's listed fourth in the long jump, is tied for seventh in the triple jump and is also scheduled to run the 200. So far during her rookie season, she's cracked Bentley's top ten list in six events, including first in the 600 and third in both the 200 and long jump.

Other Falcons in the top eight include senior Sean Nee (West Yarmouth/Dennis-Yarmouth Reg. HS) in the 800 (fourth), graduate student Steve Maffiolini (Southington, Conn./Southington HS) in the 400 (sixth), junior Nik Haas (Ramsey, N.J./Ramsey HS) in the mile (seventh), junior Tim Bolick (Hopkinton/Hopkinton HS) in the 1000 (seventh) and sophomore Beau Kraft (Bayport, N.Y./Bayport-Blue Point HS) in the shot put (eighth).

Coach Kevin Curtin is expecting his men's 4x800 relay team of Nee, Haas, Skarin and Bolick to challenge for the gold in that event.  

A preseason poll of conference coaches forecasts the Bentley men for eighth place and the Falcon women for ninth.
