Vatti cruised to victory in the 400 meters, with his time of 49.27 more a second-and-a-half faster than runner-up Vickrum Nabar of Babson. He won his heat by even more, 1.84 seconds.  Junior Bryan Carton (Norwell/Norwell HS), with a time of 51.43 seconds, was seventh in the field of 32, and freshman Mark Nelson (Ft. Charter set a new personal best while winning the long jump, an event that had 34 competitors. His leap of 21 feet, 10.75 inches elevated him to number seven on Bentley's all-time list and bettered runner Evan Weinstock (Brown) by about five inches. Charter's day also included finishing 11th of 23 in the triple jump with a distance of 42 feet, 3.25 inches.

Junior Craig Robinson (Scarborough, Maine/Scarborough HS) qualified for the New Englands in the steeplechase and moved to fourth on Bentley's all-time list with a PR of 9:38.24. That was good for seventh amongst 16 athletes in the event.

Senior Steven Long (Newton/Newton North HS) moved to second in Bentley history in the hammer, uncorking a throw of 126 feet, four inches. That was just 10 inches shy of the school record.

Posting tenth-place finishes for the Falcons were freshman Chris Ricci (Coventry, R.I./Bishop Hendricken HS) in the javelin (157'0") and junior Grant Nolan (Concord, N.H./Concord HS) in the 400 hurdles (59.72).
