Trueb Named to 2011 USTFCCCA Div. II All-Academic Track Team

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University rising junior Curtis Trueb (Eastchester, N.Y./Eastchester HS) has been selected to the 2011 Division II Track and Field All-Academic Team by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

It's the fourth time in his career that the computer information systems major has earned All-Academic Honors from the USTFCCCA.  He garnered the award for track a year ago as well, and was recognized for cross country in both 2009 and 2010.

Trueb is one of only 34 Division II male athletes who were cited for both track and cross country for their efforts during the 2010-11 academic year and is one of only 13 who made both academic squads this past season and also in 2009-10.

Trueb, who earned Academic All-Northeast-10 honors for indoor track, had a very good indoor campaign. He broke the school record in the mile twice (4:09.06 and 4:08.12 a week later), did the same in the 1000 meters (2:25.53), captured the conference championship in the mile and qualified for the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships with the fifth best time in the country.  He missed the outdoor portion of the schedule due to injury.

In cross country, Trueb was 11th in the Northeast-10 Championships and 25th in the NCAA Division II Regional.
