WALTHAM, Mass. -- Bentley University freshman Eric Kennedy (West Hartford, Conn./ Northwest Catholic HS) has been named the Men's Outdoor Track Rookie of the Week in the Northeast-10 Conference.

Kennedy was recognized after a week that saw him compete in both the Stonehill Invitational and the Brown Invitational.

At Stonehill on Friday, Kennedy was second in the 100 meters (11.28 seconds) and third in the 200, setting a new PR of 22.43 seconds. He was also a member of Falcons' 4x100 relay than finished third and qualified for the New Englands (43.31 seconds). Two days later, he ran at Brown where he was second in the 200 (22.46) and fourth in 100 (11.25).

Kennedy, on the NE-10 performance list, currently ranks 11th in the 100 and 16th in the 200. His best 100 time, 11.18 seconds, was set April 2 at American International.

This weekend, Kennedy and his Bentley teammates will compete in the Northeast-10 Conference Championships at UMass-Lowell.
