Aulson and Horowitz Win in Doubles, Bonte in Singles in Bentley’s Match at SNHU

Hookset, N.H. – Senior Connor Aulson (Groveland, Mass./Pentucket) and freshman Gabe Horowitz (Lake Oswego, Ore./Lake Oswego) won in doubles and freshman Max Bonte (Bradenton, Fla./Saint Stephens) in singles, but the Bentley University men's tennis team fell to Southern New Hampshire 6-1 on Saturday.

Aulson and Horowitz defeated SNHU's Sam Goddard and Zach Duboulay in the No. 3 match in a tiebreak, by a 7-6 (7-3) score.

SNHU though had won the No. 1 and No. 2 matches to take the doubles point.

In singles, Bonte defeated SNHU junior Guido Janssen in straight sets in No. 3. Bonte won the first set in a tiebreak 7-6 (7-4) and the second set 6-4.

Bentley's Mauricio Fadul (Miami, Fla.) and SNHU's Fernando Torres went to three sets in the No. 4 match. They split the first two sets 6-4, 0-6, before Torres won a close third set 11-9.

The Penmen improved to 6-1 on the season and have now won five in a row. The Falcons dropped to 2-5. They will host Le Moyne on Tuesday for the final home match of the regular season.
