Bentley Finishes Florida Swing 4-0 With 4-3 Victory over Florida Tech

Melbourne, Fla. – The Bentley University men's tennis team finished it's Florida trip with a 4-0 record after they defeated Florida Tech 4-3 on Friday night.

The Falcons have won five in a row overall and return home with a 7-3 overall record.

Sophomore Mauricio Fadul (Key Biscayne, Fla.) clinched it in No. 5 singles, as he outlasted Jamison Burch in three sets. Burch won the 1st set 6-4, but Fadul rallied and won the final two sets, 6-3 and 7-5.

Bentley also had wins in singles from Daniel Weitz (Roslyn, N.Y./Roslyn), Connor Aulson (Groveland, Mass./Pentucket) and Nick Hatcher (Danbury, Conn/Immaculate). Weitz defeated JJ Clark in No. 2, 6-2, 6-3 and Aulson got the better of Maciej Sobolewski in No. 3, 6-1, 6-1. Hatcher knocked off Alex Webb in No. 6, 6-4, 7-5.

Weitz went 4-0 in singles on the trip and Aulson 3-0.

Bentley won in No. 2 doubles, as Weitz and Kendall Au (Essex Fells, N.J./West Essex) defeated Zisis Tegos and Webb 6-3. Au went 3-0 in doubles on the trip.

The Falcons will next be in action on March 23 when they host New York Tech.
