Aulson Wins in Singles in Bentley’s Match at Bryant
Smithfield, R.I. – Bentley sophomore Connor Aulson (Groveland, Mass./Pentucket) won in singles against Division I Bryant, but the Bulldogs won the match over Bentley 6-1 on Sunday afternoon.
Aulson defeated Bryant's Anshumat Srivastava in two sets in the No. 4 match, 6-1, 6-4 to earn a point for his team. Senior Michael Fuca (Manchester, Mass./Manchester-Essex) pushed Scott Plutt to three sets in the No. 3 match. They split the first two sets, with Plutt taking the first set 6-4 and Fuca the second set 7-6, but Plutt emerged in the third set tiebreak, 10-5.
Bryant swept the doubles matches to earn the point.
Sunday's match was the conclusion of Bentley's fall schedule, which included wins over Nichols and Eastern Nazarene and an appearance at the UConn Invitational.
