WALTHAM, Mass. – For the second straight week, a Bentley men's tennis player has claimed Northeast-10 Rookie of the Week honors, with Connor Aulson (Groveland, Mass./Pentucket) taking home the award this week.

Aulson and his Falcon teammates competed at the ITA East Regionals over the weekend, held at the USTA National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y., site of the US Open.

Aulson won a pair of singles matches to qualify for the main 64-player draw, which featured top players from across the east region in Division II men's tennis.

The rookie first defeated Benji Page of Saint Anselm 8-3, and followed it up with an 8-6 victory over Hallam Doney of Le Moyne to gain entry to the main draw.

Aulson had a successful college debut the week prior, when he won his opening round match at the UConn Invitational. He joined teammate Daniel Weitz (Roslyn, N.Y./Roslyn), who was named Rookie of the Week for the season's opening week.

The Falcons are set to continue their fall season on Wednesday when they visit Salem State.
