Bentley Sweeps Franklin Pierce in Northeast-10 Match
RINDGE, N.H. – The Bentley men's tennis team improved to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in Northeast-10 matches with a 9-0 road sweep of Franklin Pierce on Friday afternoon.
Reigning NE-10 Rookie of the Week Dylan Granat (Woodbury, N.Y./Syosset) was placed in the No. 1 spot for singles, and he responded with a 6-3, 6-2 win over James Bisazza. Other strong shows in singles were by Michael Fuca (Manchester, Mass./Manchester-Essex), Chase Rosa (Hampton, N.H./Berwick Academy) and Nicholas Hatcher (Danbury, Conn./Danbury).
Fuca was a 6-1, 6-1 winner over Andrew Schadt in the No. 3 match, while Rosa dropped just one game in the No. 4 spot against Olivier Viel, 6-0, 6-1. Hatcher dispatched Joshua Singer 6-1, 6-1 in the No. 6 singles match.
The Falcons are now 5-0 on the season and 2-0 in NE-10. They close out their fall season on Saturday when they visit Division I University of Hartford.
