Bentley Sweeps Le Moyne 6-0 for Fifth Straight Win

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley men's tennis team earned its fifth straight win on Friday by defeating Le Moyne 6-0 in Northeast-10 action. The Falcons improve to 7-2 in NE-10 matches.

Bentley swept doubles play to take a commanding 3-0 lead. Alex DeMuth (Shaker Heights, Ohio/University School) and Kamil Pilch (Wroclaw, Poland/IMG) won the No. 1 match, 8-6 over James Gayvert and Benjamin Spoor. Freshmen Brendan McCarthy (Falmouth, Maine/Falmouth) and George Samander (Willemstad, Curacao/ISC) picked up a win in the No. 2 match to help send Bentley to the early lead in the match.

Bentley then won three singles matches to sew up the victory. McCarthy defeated Hallam Doney 6-1, 6-1 in the No. 2 match, Chase Rosa (Hampton, N.H./Berwick) bested Stephane Legris 6-2, 6-0 in the No. 4 match and Samuel Klau (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Robinson School) defeated Adam Celata 6-2, 6-0 in the No. 6 match.

Bentley closes out the regular season tomorrow at home against Merrimack for a 1:00 pm match, and has already clinched a place in the Northeast-10 Championship.
