Men’s Tennis Continues Winning Ways, Downs Endicott 7-2

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley men's tennis team won for the third straight time and fifth time in six matches with a 7-2 non-conference victory at home over Endicott on Sunday afternoon.

The winning streak has improved the Falcons' record to 10-6 overall as they enter the final week of the regular season with three matches to go.

Bentley won two of three in doubles, the No. 2 and No. 3 matches, and five of six singles matches. It was a team effort as eight different players picked up a win in either singles or doubles; freshman Brendan McCarthy (Falmouth, Maine/Falmouth) was the only player to win twice. He teamed with sophomore Chase Rosa (Hampton, N.H./Berwick) for an 8-4 win in No. 2 doubles. McCarthy then earned a 6-4, 6-1 win in the No. 1 singles match.

The singles win was the third in a row overall for McCarthy. Matching him with a third straight singles win was freshman George Samander (Willemstad, Curacao/ISC), who picked up a 6-1, 6-1 victory in the No. 2 match.

Daniel Camacho (Bogota, Columbia/CNG), Felipe Palacios (Bogota, Columbia/CNG) and Alberto Riveroll (Celaya, Mexico/ITJ) won the No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 singles matches, respectively.

The Falcons begin the home stretch on Wednesday when they visit Northeast-10 rival Southern New Hampshire.
