Pilch Clinches Bentley’s 5-4 Win over Saint Thomas Aquinas

ORLANDO, Fla. – Junior Kamil Pilch (Wroclaw, Poland/IMG) won in No. 2 singles to secure a 5-4 win for the Bentley men's tennis team over Saint Thomas Aquinas in a non-conference match on Tuesday night.

Pilch posted a 6-0, 6-3 over Gilberto Lantigua to give Bentley its third straight win to improve to 5-1 on the season.

Brendan McCarthy (Falmouth, Maine/Falmouth), Evan Chomka (Warwick, R.I./Bishop Hendricken) and Daniel Camacho (Bogota, Columbia/CNG) also took wins in singles for Bentley. McCarthy won the No. 1 match 6-1, 6-1, Chomka the No. 5 match in a sweep 6-0, 6-0 and Camacho the No. 6 match 6-3, 6-0.

Chase Rosa (Hampton, N.H./Berwick Academy) and Sam Frye (Redlands, Calif./Redlands) won for the Falcons in doubles, 8-1 in the No. 2 match.

Bentley continues its spring break trip on Wednesday night when they take on Aquinas College in Orlando.
