Bentley Picked 5th in Northeast-10 Men’s Tennis Preseason Poll

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Northeast-10 Conference released its Men's Tennis Preseason Coaches' Poll on Wednesday afternoon, and the Bentley University Falcons were picked fifth and received 71 points.

The Falcons are already 1-0 in NE-10 play after a victory over Saint Anselm in the fall, and are 3-1 overall after defeating Wentworth 8-1 in a non-conference match on Saturday.

Bentley gets its Northeast-10 schedule going in earnest on Tuesday, March 24 when they visit AIC. Before then, the Falcons will embark on a five-match spring break trip to Florida, which opens on Sunday against Monmouth (Ill.) in Orlando.

The preseason poll was topped by Merrimack, the defending regular season champions, who garnered 95 points and eight first-place votes. Adelphi was second with 78 points and one first-place vote. Southern New Hampshire picked up the other first-place vote, and 76 points. Stonehill came in just ahead of Bentley, with 72 points.

Bentley will play its first home match of the spring on Tuesday, April 7 against Saint Michael's.

The top-six teams at the end of the regular season qualify for the Northeast-10 playoffs.
