STORRS, Conn. – The Bentley men's team finished play at the UConn Invitational on Sunday, with freshman Brendan McCarthy (Falmouth, Maine) and junior Evan Chomka (Warwick, R.I.) finishing competition in two singles tournaments.

McCarthy, who on Saturday had advanced to the finals of the A singles consolation tournament with two wins, fell in the finals to Rich Sipala of Bryant 8-2.

Chomka had advanced to the semifinals of the B singles consolation tournament on Saturday, but was defeated in that round on Sunday by the eventual champion, Eric Ambrosio of Quinnipiac 8-2.

Bentley's next competition is against Salve Regina on the road on Oct. 3 at 3:00 pm.
