Bentley Sweeps Saint Michael's 9-0 to Close Out Fall

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley men's tennis team closed out its fall season with a 9-0 victory over Saint Michael's College in a Northeast-10 match Sunday afternoon. The Falcons finish the fall 4-0 and dropped just one point in the four matches.

Bentley cruised through the three doubles matches. Its three teams dropped just six games combined. Senior Jimmy Rindo (Lowell, Mass./Lowell) and sophomore Sam Frye (Redlands, Calif./Redlands) swept to a 8-0 victory over Ben Lambert and Sam Laves in the third-flight. Senior Andrew Waddington (Granby, Conn./Granby Memorial) and freshman Chase Rosa (Hampton, N.H./Berwick Academy) took an 8-1 win over Hayden Steward and Nick Bosco in the fight-flight.

The other winners in doubles were junior Alex DeMuth (Shaker Heights, Ohio/University School) and sophomore Kamil Plilch (Wroclaw, Poland/IMG Pendleton) over Chris Allen and Tom Brahm 8-5 in the second-flight.

In singles Waddington, Rindo, Pilch and Rosa all added their seconds wins of the day. Pilch dropped just one game in a 6-0, 6-1 win over Laves in the third flight. Rindo dropped just two games in beating Brahm 6-1, 6-1 in the second-flight.

Sophomore Evan Chomka (Warwick, R.I./Bishop Hendricken) and freshman Jerry Liang (Shanghai, China/Shanghai American School) also had wins in singles. Chomka bested Steward 6-2, 6-0 in the fifth-flight, and Liang beat Lambert 6-1, 6-1 in the sixth flight.
