Bentley Rolls Past Saint Anselm 9-0 in Northeast-10 Match
MANCHESTER, N.H. – Bentley picked up its second straight win to start the season with a comprehensive 9-0 victory over Saint Anselm in a Northeast-10 men's tennis match Friday.
The Falcons dropped just six games in singles and won two doubles matches 8-0 to improve to 2-0 both overall and in the NE-10 on the young season.
Seniors Andrew Waddington (Granby, Conn./Granby Memorial) and Jimmy Rindo (Lowell, Mass./Lowell) both had easy wins in No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively, both winning by scores of 6-1, 6-0. Sophomore Kamil Pilch (Wroclaw, Poland/IMG Pendleton) dropped just four games en route to a 6-2, 6-2 victory in No. 3 singles.
Freshman Chase Rosa (Hampton, N.H./Berwick Academy) and sophomores Evan Chomka (Warwick, R.I./Bishop Hendricken) and Felipe Palacios (Bogota, Columbia/CNG) each won their singles matches 8-0.
In doubles, Waddington/Rosa and Rindo/Sam Frye (Redlands, Calif./Redlands) had 8-0 wins in No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.
The Falcons' next scheduled competition is the Quinnipiac Invitational in Hamden, Conn., beginning Oct. 4.
