Bentley Sweeps Saint Anselm in Fall Finale
WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University swept Saint Anselm 9-0 in the final match of the fall season for the men's tennis team Friday in a Northeast-10 match.
Reigning NE-10 Player of the Week Jimmy Rindo (Lowell, Mass./Lowell) and his five teammates all won both their singles and doubles match. Playing in the second singles flight he defeated Nick Schwab by a score of 6-2, 6-2. In doubles, he and Andrew Waddington (Granby, Conn./Granby Memorial) beat Kyle White and William Condon 8-4 in the second-flight.
Rookie of the Week Kamil Pilch (Wroclaw, Poland/IMG Pendleton) had similar success. He bested Joseph Zucchi in third flights singles 6-2, 6-4, and teamed with Rodrigo Ribeiro (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Chapel School) to beat Chris and Nick Schwab in first-flight doubles 8-2.
The Falcons finish their fall season with records of 3-0 both overall and in the NE-10. Saint Anselm drops to 2-3 overall and 1-3 in the NE-10.
