Florida Tech Earns 6-3 Victory over Bentley
MELBOURNE, Fla. – Bentley University won two singles matches but Florida Tech took a 6-3 win over the Falcons Wednesday afternoon at the Fee Avenue Tennis Courts in non-conference men's tennis.
Sophomore Rodrigo Ribeiro (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Chapel School) beat Cory Hodes in number one singles after Hodes retired. In number two singles, Zach Tuckman (Kinnelon, N.J./Morristown Beard School) defeated Jorge Abarca Montero 6-4, 1-6, 10-2.
The Falcons took the second-flight match in doubles, as the team of junior Victor Suski (West Hartford, Conn./William Hall) and freshman Andrew Waddington (Granby, Conn./Granby Memorial) bested William Fountain and Yan Carlo Rodriguez 8-6.
Florida Tech improves to 7-10 on the season while the Falcons drop to 5-4. They continue their spring break trip Thursday afternoon at St. Leo.
