WALTHAM, Mass. – Connecticut College captured the first five individual events to open an early 24-point lead and went on to hand the Bentley University men's swimming and diving team its first loss in nearly four years, 160-138, Sunday afternoon at the Dana Center pool.

The Falcons had won 39 consecutive dual meets with the last loss coming against Keene State on Jan. 16, 2016.

The meet started off on a positive note with Bentley capturing the 200 yard medley relay to open the meet. Sophomores Oscar Chang (Dix Hills, N.Y./Half Hollow Hills West HS) and Zach Papsco (Northport, N.Y./Northport HS) combined with juniors Paul Homorodean (Milford, Conn,/Joseph A. Moran HS) and Clayton Bennice (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa HS) for a pool record clocking of 1:35.86. The former mark of 1:36.77 was set by Bentley last season.

Sophomore Mark Zoda (Nashua, N.H./Bishop Guertin HS) took first in the 50 freestyle in 21.19 seconds and Homorodean swam to a win in the 100 butterfly, with his 51.25 improving on his own pool record by 0.19 seconds.

Bentley dominated the diving with the Falcons outscoring the Camels 32-4. Sophomore Owen Busser (Chelmsford/Chelmsford HS) posted a winning score of 217.12 from the one-meter board and sophomore Jeremy Glick (South Windsor, Conn./South Windsor HS) took the three-meter event with a 221.40. Glick was the runner-up to Busser in the one-meter and Busser took second from the three-meter.

Bentley's ten second-place finishes also included two apiece from Zoda (200 free, 100 free) and Papsco (100 breast, 100 fly).

Bentley, 6-1, will look to bounce Tuesday night when they visit Babson College.
