Elenio Tabbed Northeast-10 Men’s Swimming Sport Excellence Award Winner

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University senior and three-time conference champion Frank Elenio (Ridgefield, N.J./Bergen County Academies) has been selected for the Northeast-10 Conference Men's Swimming and Diving Sport Excellence Award.

Elenio, who was voted to the Academic All-Conference team for the third time, is the first Bentley student-athlete to receive the honor for men's swimming in the ten-year history of the award. It is presented annually to the conference's premier scholar-athlete in each sport.

Elenio made three trips to the top of the podium during the Northeast-10 Championships in February. He swam to victory in both the 200 yard individual medley and the 400 IM, helped the Falcons earn gold in the 800 free style medley, and also earned three bronze medals (200 butterfly, 200 medley relay, 400 medley relay).

One of the team captains, Elenio broke school records in all six of those events and finished his career with his name attached to seven school records (four individual, three relay). He achieved NCAA "B" cuts in both the 200 and 400 IM.

Elenio helped Bentley capture the 2019 NE10 championship after finishing its dual meet schedule unbeaten for the third straight season.
