WORCESTER, Mass. – The three-day Gompei Invitational, held at WPI's Sport and Recreation Center, concluded Sunday with the Bentley University men's and women's swimming and diving teams collecting a dozen top-ten performances and finishing fifth among 15 teams.

This one came in the 200 yard backstroke with Kaduboski fifth in 2:07.27 and junior teammate Paige MacNeil (Branford, Conn./Branford HS) right behind her in sixth (2:07.88).

Seventh-place finishes were earned by junior Jared Yoshihara (Irvine, Calif./University HS) in the men's 200 back (1:57.10) and senior Frank Elenio (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood HS) in the men's 200 butterfly (1:56.31).

Bentley has success in the 400 free relay with three different quartets swimming to top ten finishes. Seniors Brooke Jamerson (Bedford/Bedford HS) and Melissa Viator (Lubbock, Texas/Lubbock HS) combined with MacNeil and Kaduboski for a time of 3:37.48, good for seventh place.

Finishing eighth was the combination of Zoda, junior Alper Alkaya (Milan, Italy), sophomore Clayton Bennice (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa HS) and senior Ryan McGeary (Paramus, N.J./Bergen Catholic). Their time were 3:10.69.

Mejirski was part of a woman's relay team that posted a 3:40.25 for tenth place. That quartet also included freshman Lucy Slowe (Millis/Millis HS), junior Lea Guldemond (West Newbury/Central Catholic HS) and classmate Ari Revalas (Snyder, N.Y./Nardin Academy).

Also on Sunday, Bentley had both an eighth and ninth place finish in the mixed 25-yard synchronized diving relay.

Two school records were broken on Sunday, Kaduboski in the women's 100 individual medley and Zoda in the men's 100 IM. Kaduboski lowered Kaitlin McGahie's two-year-old record of 1:00.33 by 0.16 seconds and Zoda, with a time of 53.94 seconds, took possession the record Bryan Stinchfield had owned since 2008 (54.20).

Earlier in the weekend, in the men's one-meter diving, Falcon freshmen Jeremy Glick (South Windsor, Conn./South Windsor HS) and Owen Busser (Chelmsford/Chelmsford HS) were ninth and tenth, respectively.

Bentley finished the meet with 3200.5 points, an improvement of 285 overall last season. Bryant University took the team title with 5269.5 and Rowan University was second (4370.5).

Bentley will wrap up the first semester portion of the schedule Saturday at Norwich University.
