Zoda Receives Rookie of the Week Honors from Northeast-10

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University freshman Mark Zoda (Nashua, N.H./Bishop Guertin HS) was recently named the Northeast-10 Conference Men's Swimming Rookie of the Week for the week ending November 18.

Zoda led Bentley to a 172-122 win at Brandeis by placing first in the 50 yard freestyle (21.97) and the 200 free (1:46.09). He was also part of the Falcons' winning 200 free relay (1:27.73) and finished second in the 100 free (48.29). The victory was the 27th straight dual victory for Bentley.

Also recognized by the conference with selection to the Weekly Honor Roll were freshman diver Owen Busser (Chelmsford/Chelmsford HS) and junior Paige MacNeil (Branford, Conn./Branford HS).

Busser prevailed in both one-meter diving events, with scores of 152.78 and 222.90.

In a 208-80 win by the women's team over Brandeis, MacNeil took first in the 200 yard freestyle (1:58.42) and the 100 butterfly (1:01.58), helped Bentley win the 400 medley relay (4:09.75) and placed second in the 100 free (55.64 seconds).

This weekend, Bentley will compete in the Gompei Invitational at WPI.
