Bentley’s Winning Streak Hits 27 with 172-122 Victory at Brandeis

WALTHAM, Mass. – The winning streak for the Bentley University men's swimming and diving team reached 27 Friday night when the Falcons bested crosstown rival Brandeis University, 172-122, at the Brandeis pool.

Freshmen Mark Zoda (Nashua, N.H./Bishop Guertin HS) and Owen Busser (Chelmsford/Chelmsford HS) led the way with each capturing a pair of individual events.

Zoda swam the fastest 100 yard freestyle in the Northeast-10 Conference this season, 1:00.48, and also turned in a winning performance in the 50 free, 21.97 seconds. Busser prevailed in both one-meter diving competitions, achieving scores of 152.78 and 222.90.

Bentley's other individual winners were freshman Zach Papsco (Northport, N.Y./Northport HS) in the 100 breaststroke (1:00.48), senior Frank Elenio (Ridgefield, N.J./Ridgefield HS) in the 200 butterfly (2:00.84) and junior Jared Yoshihara (irvine, Calif./University HS) in the 200 backstroke (2:00.70).

Papsco's time in the 100 breast put her at second on the NE10 performance list.

Bentley, off to a 4-0 start, will compete in the Gompei Invitational at WPI Nov. 30-Dec. 2.
