WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley University Falcons were well represented on the inaugural Northeast-10 Conference Swimming and Diving weekly report of the season with the honorees including senior Frank Elenio (Ridgefield, N.J./Bergen County Academies) and freshman Rona Mejiritski (Bowling Green, Ohio/Bowling Green HS).

Elenio was named the NE10 Men's Swimmer of the Week and Mejiritski was recognized as the conference's Women's Rookie of the Week.

The Divers of the Week in the conference were freshman Jeremy Glick (South Windsor, Conn./ South Windsor HS) on the men's side and junior Caroline Logozzo (Wethersfield, Conn./Wethersfield HS) for the women.

Bentley also had the Men's Relay Team of the Week with the Falcons' men's 200 yard free relay recognized. That quartet included senior Ryan McGeary (Paramus, N.J./Bergen Catholic HS), freshman Mark Zoda (Nashua, N.H./Bishop Guertin HS) and a pair of sophomores, Clayton Bennice (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa HS) and Paul Homorodean (Milford, Conn./Joseph A. Foran HS).

Elenio, in a season-opening win over Wheaton, swam to victory in three individual events and finished second in the 200 medley relay (1:40.01). The wins came in the 200 butterfly (2:01.42), the 500 freestyle (5:02.91) and the 200 individual medley (2:04.13) with each of those times ranking in the top three in the conference so far this season.

In her collegiate debut, Mejiritski swept the butterfly events with times of 1:01.30 (100 yards) and 2:12.69 (200). She was also second in the 100 free (56.10) and part of the Falcons' 200 medley relay team that was second in 1:53.01.

Glick and Logozzo swept the diving events against the Lyons. Glick posted scores of 200.70 from the one-meter board and 172.20 from the three-meter, and Logozzo amassed 243.40 points from the one-meter and 219.20 from the three.

In the men's 200 free relay, the afore-mentioned quartet combined to take first in 1:27.65. That was the best in the conference to date by 1.87 seconds.

Bentley was also recognized on the NE10 Weekly Honor Roll by Homorodean and senior Kate Kaduboski (Dedham/Dedham HS). Homorodean was unbeaten in the opener as he helped the Falcons sweep the relays (200 medley, 1:36.77, and 200 free, 1:27.65), was first to the wall in the 50 free (21.62) and tied for first in the 100 free (48.30). All of those times were season-bests thus far in the NE10.

Kaduboski finished first in the 200 backstroke with a Northeast-10-best time of 2:12.73. She also swam the conference's fastest 200 individual medley while placing second (2:13.45), was part of the Falcons' 200 medley relay team that finished second in 1:53.01 and was third in the 200 free (2:01.36).

Bentley returns to the Dana Center pool Saturday for a 1 pm meet against Le Moyne College. Wins by both Falcon teams in the meet will give coach Mary Kay Samko 400 victories as Bentley's head coach. She is 171-73 as the men's coach and 227-66 with the women.
