WALTHAM, Mass. – A quartet of seniors have been named captains of the 2018-19 Bentley University swimming and diving teams, head coach Mary Kay Samko announced.

Frank Elenio (Ridgefield, N.J./Bergen County Academies) and Ryan McGeary (Paramus, N.J./ Bergen Catholic HS) will lead the men's team while Kate Kaduboski (Dedham/Dedham HS) and Hannah Rauch (Orchard Park, N.Y./Orchard Park HS) will be the captains of the women's team.

"This season's group of swimming and diving team captains represent the best that Bentley has to offer," praised Samko, who is entering her 23rd season at the helm. "They are outstanding leaders in the pool, in the classroom and on campus." McGeary, Elenio and Kaduboski all earned Academic All-Northeast-10 honors following last season.

At last year's Northeast-10 Championships, Elenio earned silver in four events (200 individual medley, 400 IM, 200 butterfly, 800 free relay) while setting school records in each. He also ranks third in program history in the 200 freestyle.

McGeary was the runner-up in the 200 free at last season's NE10 Championships as well as third in the 500 free and second in a pair of relays. He owns the school records in the 200 free and four of the five relay events.

 "Frank Elenio and Ryan McGeary were last season's co-MVPs", said Samko. "Ryan has led the way for our freestyle and breaststroke group and Frank in the IM and fly."

Kaduboski was the 2018 Northeast-10 champion in both the 400 individual medley and the 800 free relay, and concluded her junior year by participating in the NCAA Division II Championships in both the 200 and 400 IM. She owns the school records in both of those events, is second in program history in three other events, and her named is also attached to the Bentley record in four of five relays.

Rauch, at the NE10's in February, finished third in the 200 free relay and in the top seven in three distance relay events. She ranks in the top four in program history in the 500, 1000 and 1650 freestyle events.

"Hannah Rauch has been consistent scorer in dual and championship meets throughout her career while leading the distance group in practice. She was last season's most improved swimmer.

Our two time MVP, Kate Kaduboski is a school record holder, a conference champion and an NCAA qualifier.

"All have been Dean's List students throughout their Bentley careers.  I am excited about the season and what their leadership brings to the teams," said Samko.

Bentley opens the season Friday night with a home dual against Wheaton College.
