WORCESTER, Mass. – Day 3 of the Northeast-10 Conference Men's Swimming and Diving Championships saw the Bentley University Falcons collect four medals, including three silver, and break four school records at WPI's Sport and Recreation Center.

The day concluded with Bentley second among seven in the team standings, but 120 points back of first-place Southern Connecticut State. The defending champion Falcons, with 492 points, lead third-place Le Moyne College by 130 heading into Sunday's final day of competition.

The silver medalists for Bentley included juniors Frank Elenio (Ridgefield, N.J./Bergen County Academies) and Ryan McGeary (Paramus, N.J./Bergen Catholic HS) with each also making changes to the record book.

Elenio's fourth school record of the meet came in the 400 yard individual medley with his 4:04.51 an improvement of 0.26 seconds from the standard set a year ago. McGeary improved on his own school record in the 200 free by 0.71 seconds with a 1:41.11.

McGeary also anchored Bentley's 200 free relay team that took the silver and broke the school record with a 1:23.64. Senior Chris Vukas (Randolph, N.J./Randolph HS), freshman Paul Homorodean (Milford, Conn./Milford HS) and sophomore Alper Alkaya (Milan, Italy) also helped the Falcons lower the two-year-old school record by 0.39 seconds.

It was Homorodean's third swim during Saturday's evening session. Previously, he took third place in the 100 breaststroke (58.29) and finished fifth in the 100 butterfly (50.81). During the 100 fly prelims, he broke a school record that had stood since 2011 by 0.41 seconds with a 50.77.

Sophomore Matt Bandy (Manhattan, Kans./Manhattan HS) was a double-finalist, placing sixth in the 400 IM (4:15.64) and eighth in the 100 breast (1:01.10).

The other finalists for Bentley on Saturday were freshman Clayton Bennice (Ballston Spa, N.Y./ Ballston Spa HS), who was sixth in the 200 free (1:44.69), and Vukas, who was seventh in the 100 back (52.84).

Sunday's final day of competition will get underway with prelims at 10 am.
